Founded in a garage in 2008, the band now ignites with prophetic force and a heavy, cinematic sound, relaunching themselves with new epic energy. Burning Plains return to fill playlists with powerful Ukrainian metal that tears at the heart and pushes the body forward with every riff. The track tells a story of wartime chaos, blazing devastation, and a prophetic voice cutting through the silence. “Burning Plains” marks a new chapter for the band and sends a clear signal to every metal listener: this is a sound you cannot ignore.

This song became the first in the band’s catalog back in 2008, after an exhausting garage rehearsal, defining their character from the very beginning: heavy, direct, uncompromising. It gave the band the name Burning Plains and laid the foundation for their signature metal sound.

“Even back in 2008, we felt that this song pointed toward something ahead. Burning Plains was always a prophecy—an omen of what was to come, and today its words hit just as sharply,” says Stan, the band’s frontman.

“Burning Plains” is a cry of pain about the horrors of war and the absurdity of imperial structures that throw their people into foreign lands. It isn’t a heroic tale—it’s a portrayal of methodical, impersonal death.

Helicopter blades slice the air above (“Storm of metal wings, Hope has fled away”), angels lose their halos while the devil takes the bodies (“Angels lost their rings — Devil is taking your body today!”). Death approaches without asking for names, dreams, or plans (“Drawing closer and closer, They won’t ask your name”), and prayers only feed the fire (“Blades cut through desire”). The sky bleeds red, bodies are discarded like trash (“Sky is bleeding red, Bodies thrown like trash”), and souls have long been sold to the system (“Flame disfigured their bodies. Souls forever sold out”). Used as resources, people march blindly, cursing these burning plains, yet continue forward because they were ordered to (“Blindly marching and marching and marching again, cursing these Burning Plains”).

The track conveys the despair, brutality, and catharsis of war — forcing the listener to confront its merciless reality.

“This song is about how the system sends people into hell, turns them into expendable material, and no one cares about their names or dreams. It captures a feeling you can’t shake off — when you witness what’s happening, and it cuts straight through you,” the frontman shares.

The EP Empire Collapsed, which also includes “Your Eyes”, “Into The Violet Sky”, and “Surrender”, continues this narrative, showing different facets of chaos, destruction, and survival. Each track blends heavy guitar riffs, drums, bass, and touches of orchestral and electronic elements, forming a musical story that is both cathartic and prophetic.

Step into the world of Burning Plains. Feel the metal that slices through silence, the flames that reveal the true nature of war, and the energy that drives you forward in the rhythm of a prophetic sound.
