New Laconia builds its own musical universe, where genre fusion becomes a vehicle for storytelling and each composition functions as a fragment of a larger narrative. The album transports listeners to Stardust Bear Bazaar – a unique corner of the universe offering refuge amid chaos, where time flows according to its own laws. Behind the bar stands a mysterious Bear-Bartender, welcoming guests from distant planets and parallel dimensions. The title composition, divided into three parts, unfolds as a mini sci-fi detective story, with the music guiding the listener through its twists and turns. Each track serves as a chapter in the saga, where characters confront choices, trials, and inner conflict, while the listener experiences the unfolding story alongside them.

New Laconia continues to expand its multimedia universe. The first animated video, Stardust Bear Bazaar Pt.1, introduces the pub beyond time and space, where the Bear-Bartender and regular visitors set adventures in motion that evolve into mini detective stories shaped by temporal paradoxes. Another chapter of the saga, “Captain Daredevil”, shifts the narrative into a dynamic interstellar battle, where the music becomes more intense and expressive, underscoring danger, loss, and the weight of choice. The animated videos add another narrative layer, where every note and visual detail reinforces the larger storyline of the universe.

New Laconia’s music operates at the intersection of sound, cinematography, and literary storytelling. Saxophone intertwines with synthesizers, accordion meets heavy guitars, and Eastern tonalities blend organically into progressive structures. It is a saga for listeners who value the story behind the song.

The concept was created by Alex Syniakov, a Ukrainian composer who combines musical creativity with a background in computer graphics and programming. His fascination with algorithms and symmetry naturally found its way into his music, and his compositional approach is rooted in structural thinking: complexity, symmetry, and algorithmic patterns shape the works while always serving emotion and narrative.

“I have always seen music as a form of code – with its own structures, patterns, symmetries, and algorithms. My fascination with mathematics, fractals, and harmony evolved into a love for progressive music, where complexity and multidimensionality are valued. It was at the intersection of my engineering background and creative exploration that Stardust Bear Bazaar was born – a conceptual sci-fi work in which each composition feels like a formula infused with emotion, and every theme unfolds with almost algorithmic precision,” says the project’s founder.

Stardust Bear Bazaar is a conceptual sci-fi album constructed as a musical saga, complete with characters, locations, internal logic, and dramatic structure. Rock, metal, jazz, pop, experimental, and progressive elements do not compete but coexist as different ways of telling one cohesive story. Each track brings a new narrative turn and an immersive journey for the listener, with the music itself driving the storyline forward.

“The album unfolds as a cohesive canvas in which themes of time, choice, memory, and identity gradually develop from track to track, forming a unified narrative rather than a collection of separate songs,” the project’s creators explain.

New Laconia invites listeners into its musical universe, where genres become a language, music becomes the narrator, and each track offers a new perspective on time, space, and choice. The album is available on all major streaming platforms, while the expanding visual narrative can be explored on YouTube and the project’s social media channels.
