New Laconia presents “Captain Daredevil” — a metal track about travelers, freedom, and the fight for a lost ship. The music project, known for its ambitious Sci-Fi multiverse, continues to develop its story saga, showcasing the genre versatility and contrasting nature of its approach.

The previous release, “New Laconia”, immersed the listener in a meditative journey through jazz-experimental-fusion and introduced the sound of the saxophone to the project for the first time. It told the story of the search for the Time Gift on the planet Symmetry.

“Captain Daredevil” opens the opposite emotional axis: dynamics, action, struggle. The events unfold after the Traveler finds the key to the Time Gift.

The storyline of the saga about the Bear-Bartender and Time receives a dramatic development. Immediately following the events of the previous music release, the main character, the Bear, falls into a space pirate ambush. He manages to escape only at the cost of losing his own ship, which remains in the rusty clutches of the enemy. To resume the mission and recover his property, the Bear, together with the Engineer, makes the only possible decision: to seek help from an elite mercenary, well-known throughout the galaxy as Captain Daredevil — a desperate bounty hunter. Thus begins a new chapter of the New Laconia space epic: fast, resolute, and fraught with danger.

“New Laconia is about building our own universe where music is the language, and genres are not limitations but tools for storytelling. This track was born from a deep nostalgia for adventure literature. ‘Captain Daredevil’ was my favorite childhood book; it taught me how to fight. I took that spirit, added a space plot, and turned it into metal. Every new release is a step in expanding this world where everyone can find their story,” comments the project founder, Alex Syniakov.

The music for the track is created with a classic metal arsenal: guitar, bass, and drums. It is a song about those who walk through fire, return from battle, and do not give up. The key message of the track is “Never stop fighting for the dreams we sow.” The song is addressed to soldiers, travelers, and everyone who continues the fight.

New Laconia consistently adapts its musical Universe for the screen. The first animated music video, “Stardust Bear Bazaar Pt.1”, recently premiered, opening the doors to their cosmic universe. In it, viewers enter a pub outside of time and space, where the Bartender-Bear and the Engineer launch events that turn into a mini-detective story with time loops and paradoxes. The animation became the first step in creating the New Laconia multimedia world.

“Captain Daredevil” is an energetic metal track that continues the New Laconia storyline: battles, losses, and the emergence of a legendary mercenary. The music conveys the hero’s tension and determination, his struggle for freedom, and the desire not to stop in the face of difficulties.
