Ukrainian singer VYNOHRADOVA has released her new single “Please Love Me” – the song with which the artist applied for this year’s Eurovision National Selection.
“Please Love Me” is a danceable synth-pop track about closeness that has turned into habit, and about the honesty one hesitates to face for too long – when love stops giving you wings and begins to feel like confinement.
The song reflects complex everyday moments: when you don’t feel like speaking, when no one seems to hear you, when you struggle with your own vulnerability and the fear of taking the first step. Both the melody and the lyrics subtly convey these emotional states, creating a sense of inner balance between the desire to be heard and the need to accept reality.
“Please Love Me” was born from an intuitive melody that came first, followed by lyrics the artist worked on for a longer time, striving to capture her inner state as precisely as possible. At the heart of the song is a relationship held together not by feelings, but by habit and the fear of losing someone close.
The emotional climax of the track comes in the bridge, featuring lines that sound like a final realization: Not every love is meant to stay forever. And maybe ours was never meant to be.
“It’s about the moment when you realize that love is over, but you’re still afraid to leave. And every day you feel yourself slowly disappearing in that relationship,” says VYNOHRADOVA.
Both the music and lyrics were written by VYNOHRADOVA herself. She worked on the arrangement together with WoodRecords, where the track was recorded.
“Please Love Me” is a song of support for those going through an inner farewell. It is not about pain, but about maturity and acceptance — about a kind of freedom that begins with honesty toward yourself. The track captures the subtle anxiety of everyday life, when you are still physically close but already alone inside, while leaving space for dance, movement, and inner freedom.
Musically, “Please Love Me” marks a new chapter in the artist’s work. It is her first synth-pop track. The sound is built around synthesizers, drum machines, and electronic effects that create a slightly cold, almost mechanical backdrop, while the rhythm encourages movement and dancing. The vocals are calm, soft, and fluid, delicately conveying vulnerability and doubt, making the track both danceable and emotionally sensitive.
Singer VYNOHRADOVA appeared on the music scene in 2022. Before that, she wrote poetry and music but did not share her work publicly. Her debut studio track, “Vesna”, was included in the longlist of Ukraine’s Eurovision National Selection that same year.
Her music combines emotional sincerity with a light sound within the indie-pop genre. VYNOHRADOVA’s songs explore themes of relationships, inner experiences, and self-discovery, creating an intimate yet dynamic space for the listener. Writing both lyrics and music herself, she emphasizes naturalness and accessibility, leaving room for emotion and inspiration.
The single “Please Love Me” is now available on streaming platforms. It is a track that encourages you to keep moving forward – dancing, letting go, and opening space for something new.
